Who this policy covers
This policy covers the Zeode website and apps and services that link to this page. “Zeode”, “we” and “us” mean Zeode Software Design. Our privacy contact is support@zeode.com.
The information an app handles depends on its features and the choices you make. Data kept only on your device is different from information sent to an online service. The sections below explain both. If an app supplies a separate privacy policy, that policy describes that app.
Website and support
The Home, beta, Terms and Privacy pages do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. The Home and beta pages remember which side you opened in your browser's local storage. This preference stays in your browser. Fonts and images are served from this website.
Our web server records connection information, including your IP address, requested page, request time, browser information and referring page when supplied by your browser. These logs help us operate the website, investigate errors and protect it from abuse. Hosting and network providers process information needed to deliver requests.
If you email us for support, send beta feedback or ask to join a beta list, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate the issue or manage the list you asked to join. You can ask us to remove you from a beta list by replying or contacting support. Review logs and screenshots before sending them, and do not send passwords or API keys.
Information in our apps
Not every feature below exists in every app or version. Optional permissions, sharing and connected services apply when you use those features.
Purrangement
Purrangement keeps saved games, scores, unlocked cats, your adopted cat's name and preferences on your device. It does not require a Zeode account and has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. If you are signed in to Game Center, the app uses your Game Center player identifier to submit completed scores and display leaderboards. Scores waiting to be submitted are stored locally with the associated player identifier. Gameplay is not sent to a Zeode server.
If you share a game result, the image and result text go to the recipient or app you select in the system share sheet. Core gameplay works without Game Center. Apple's Game Center privacy notice explains its processing and profile-sharing controls.
Driftbloom, Vectorwake, Rubber Duck River and Membrane Failure
Game saves, progress and preferences are stored on your device. Driftbloom can use motion readings on the device to adjust the scene. Where Game Center features are available, Apple processes player identifiers, scores, achievements or challenges for those features. Membrane Failure's online matches also send game state and moves through Game Center so the other participants can play the match. These services are subject to Apple's Game Center controls and privacy notice.
GiftPlanner
GiftPlanner stores the people, events, gift ideas, purchases, budgets, notes and photos you add. Contact and photo access lets you choose information to include in your lists. Optional synchronization sends the records needed to your selected sync service: Apple iCloud or, in versions with Zeode account syncing, our sync service. Zeode account syncing uses your email address and account credentials to authenticate and store your sync records. Gift or event information you choose to share goes to your selected recipients. Opening a shopping link sends you to the retailer or link provider and is subject to its practices.
Nursing Notebook
Nursing Notebook stores the feeding, diaper, growth and other child-care records you enter. Optional syncing sends these records to Apple iCloud or the Zeode sync service selected in the app; account syncing uses your email address and credentials. Sharing or exporting records sends them to the destination you choose. Older versions include Crashlytics crash reporting, which can process diagnostic information such as crashes, device and app versions, and error messages. These records can be sensitive: include only what you want to store and share.
Hawthorne
Hawthorne creates a guest account with an identifier and stores your recipes, lists, bar inventory, shopping items, plans and preferences in its service. Photos, notes, ratings and drink-log entries you save are included. Session and recovery credentials are kept in Keychain; recovery credentials can synchronize through iCloud Keychain. If you link Sign in with Apple, the service receives the identity information Apple supplies, which may include a name and email address.
The service uses this information to display and synchronize your collection and provide its planning and account features. Members of a shared bar can access that bar's shared content; people with a recipe link can view the shared recipe. Photos you upload are stored by the service. Its API, database and image storage use Cloudflare. Recipe discovery and imports also make requests to recipe sources.
Shore 805
Shore 805 keeps preferences and favourites on your device and shares selected settings with its widgets. Forecast requests identify a catalogued beach. Requests to its conditions service include a random installation identifier used for request limits and report-abuse prevention; report records use a hash of that identifier.
If you submit a community report, the service receives the beach, submission time, a proximity-check result and the observations you select. Other users see aggregated observations. The app checks proximity on your device without including your precise coordinates in that report. A report's beach still indicates an area where you may be present. Optional visit reminders use location on the device and local notifications; they do not send a location history to the conditions service. Apple supplies weather, maps and location features, and the conditions service uses Cloudflare and attributed forecast sources.
Glasslight
Glasslight stores lists, viewing progress, notes and preferences locally. iCloud features synchronize list data through Apple's CloudKit; invited participants can access a shared list. Online metadata requests can include search terms, title or person identifiers, region and selected streaming services. The metadata service uses Cloudflare and content sources including TMDB, Trakt and GDELT. Trakt rating lookups do not require you to connect a Trakt account.
Availability notifications register an Apple push token and delivery information with the metadata service. That registration does not include your watchlist; your device checks its own titles after a notification. Disable the feature inside Glasslight to request removal of its token. Apple TV features communicate with your paired device on the local network and keep pairing credentials in Keychain. Letterboxd imports are parsed locally, followed by online title-matching requests.
WineAlbum
WineAlbum stores wine photos, tasting notes, ratings, collection and trip information you enter. iCloud features synchronize and share libraries through Apple CloudKit. Invited library members can access the shared records. Place and image searches send the relevant search terms or place information to their providers, including Foursquare and Google where those features are used. Winery research sends public winery, vineyard or appellation identity information to our research service, which can use OpenAI; it does not send your tasting notes, ratings or cellar contents for that research.
Julep
Julep stores the garden, plant, care, note and photo records you add. iCloud synchronization uses Apple services. Optional location access helps set your garden's location. If you connect Home Assistant, the app exchanges the selected device and garden information with the Home Assistant server you configure.
SQLume
SQLume stores connection settings and workspaces on your device and sends authentication details and queries to the database servers you choose. Optional iCloud settings sync uses Apple services; passwords and keys use Keychain. If you use the optional OpenAI query assistant, your request, current query, relevant database error, selected schema metadata and a safety identifier are sent to OpenAI using your API key. Query text and error messages can contain sensitive information. Review the information before choosing to send it.
Files, photos and connected devices
Treefold and Counterpane work with files, text and images you choose on your device. Metricule processes screens or screenshots you select. Color by Square processes photos and camera images to make artwork; its iCloud features use Apple services to sync saved work. Stria's device features send selected embroidery designs to the machine you connect. System file pickers, share sheets and cloud-storage locations also follow the rules of the destination you choose.
BreachKit
BreachKit stores your planning preferences and records locally. Online catalogue, map, contract and reference features request the relevant information from their services, including MetaForge and attributed reference sources. A camera feature processes the image you choose to capture for its timer workflow. Opening external links sends you to those websites.
Services and sharing
We use information sent to our services to provide the feature you requested, authenticate accounts, synchronize or share content, deliver notifications, respond to support and prevent abuse. Providers handling data on our behalf must protect it and use it for the service they supply. Information can also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect people, accounts or our services.
Apple handles App Store purchases. We can receive purchase status or entitlement information needed to unlock a feature, but not your payment-card details. Apple also handles iCloud, Sign in with Apple, Game Center and TestFlight information under its own policies. If you send TestFlight feedback or a screenshot, Apple makes that feedback available to us.
Cloudflare hosts online features identified above. Connected services, external websites and recipients you choose have their own privacy practices. Their processing can occur in countries other than yours. Read the provider's policy when deciding whether to use a feature:
- Apple Privacy Policy and Game Center privacy notice
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy, including Google's Firebase services
- OpenAI Privacy Policy
Keeping and deleting data
Local app records stay on your device until you remove them with the app's controls or delete the app. On Mac, uninstalling an app may leave its saved data in your Library. Deleting a local app or record does not automatically remove cloud copies, shared copies, provider records or device backups.
Saved account and sync content is kept to provide the account or sync feature until you delete it or request deletion. In Hawthorne, use Settings → Account → Delete account. Personal content and sessions are removed; a shared bar with other members can remain, with ownership transferred. Uploaded-image cleanup is processed by the service. Glasslight requests removal of a push token when you disable availability notifications within the app and removes tokens reported invalid by Apple.
Shore 805 uses recent community reports in a three-hour display window. Its scheduled cleanup removes raw reports older than 24 hours; de-identified aggregate counts can remain for conditions research. This cleanup does not also delete provider logs or backups.
Support correspondence, account administration and operational logs are retained for as long as needed to handle the request, operate and secure the service, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Backup copies and records that must be kept by law may remain after active records are removed. Apple and other independent providers set retention for information they hold.
To request deletion of information held by Zeode, email support@zeode.com with the app name and enough information to identify the account or request. We may need to verify that the request is yours. Do not email your password. We will explain if a legal obligation or another person's rights prevent us from deleting a particular record.
Your choices and rights
You choose what to enter, upload and share. You can change camera, photo, contact, location, local-network and notification permissions in your device's settings. Disabling a permission stops future access through that permission; it does not remove information already saved or shared.
Disconnect optional services or stop sharing through the app and provider controls. Manage iCloud data and Game Center sharing through your Apple Account and device settings. Clearing this website's local storage removes its saved pane preference.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. We use information where necessary to provide requested features, with your permission where required, for legitimate service and security needs, or to meet a legal obligation. Contact us to exercise an applicable right. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator.
Children
Follow each app's age rating and the age requirements of connected services. Nursing Notebook's child-care records are entered by a parent or caregiver. Apple's parental controls govern children's use of Game Center and other Apple services. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information directly to Zeode can contact us to request its removal.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change. For a material change affecting an account or service, we will give notice through an appropriate channel. New features may have additional explanations or permission prompts.
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@zeode.com. Include the app name and version so we can respond about the features you use.
